((Okay, I know I’ve been terrible about keeping my blog updated.
I’m going to try to do better. Even if I just post something mundane and completely dumb!))
So…
Yesterday I’m eating lunch with my two boys. My youngest polishes off his sandwich and moves on to the chips. My oldest eats half and then gives me ‘The look’.
“Um…I think I’m done,” he says.
I frown. “Hmm..Why don’t you take two more bites and then you can be done.”
So, he takes exactly two bites — not too small, not too big — and puts the rest of the sandwich down. He jabbers on for a few minutes and when there is a lull in the conversation I say, “Why don’t you take two more bites?”
He narrows his eyes, one of his eyebrows arches up and he says, “I know what you’re doing.”
Me, all innocence, “What?”
“You’re trying to trick me into eating my entire sandwich. And I’m not going to do it. ”
Grr…I can’t even pull things over on my six year old. Isn’t that pathetic
?
