Hard At Work
It’s been a hectic couple of weeks! In between trying to paint all the walls in my house, getting the boys back and forth to school, and trying to FINALLY get all of our belongings out of boxes, I’m hard at work on revisions for my manuscript. I’m determined to make that end of the month deadline, so if I’m a bit scarce (well, I have been anyhow, I know!)…
I am finishing up the paint in my boys rooms and will take some pictures for the blog once they are finished. I’m really excited about their rooms…almost as excited as my boys!
I Survived!
My boys started school on August 8th, and I’m happy to report that I survived! LOL! Of course, it was a short week, so next week should be the real test.
I was bummed to find out that neither of my boys got any of the teachers I’d requested for them, and ready to knock down the school office to figure out why. Luckily, I took a deep breath, and waited. :) Scienceboy got placed in the same class as his best bud from 2nd grade, so he’s over the moon with his 3rd grade classroom and teacher. Daredevil’s teacher seems nice and he has a friend from kindergarten in the class, so he seems happy. Although, with Daredevil, only time will tell if his personality will fit with his teacher’s teaching style. The day is long for him, and the first couple of days he was a grumpy bear by the time he got home…hopefully he will adjust after he settles in a bit more.
I miss having Daredevil home with me for part of the day, but on the flipside, it’s great to get more accomplished during the day. I can actually stick to a schedule and be productive, both with my writing and the house. In fact, I’m back on track with HOBE, cooking along with my revisions (they’re going much better than expected)…and I hope to have this book wrapped up soon!
