Revisions
Is there any sweeter word? I’m the kind of writer who absolutely hates writing first drafts. I want every phrase to be pretty/shiny, and when writing a first draft the point is NOT to worry about them being perfect. I’m too much of a perfectionist to be able to write without agonizing over each word. I’ve tried blasting out drafts. They make me itch.
Somehow, I always manage to get to “The End” and then, for me, the real joy starts. Revisions are freeing. I can spend all day on one sentence and no one can stop me. *gleeful laugh*
So, this blog post is just to say, I’m in the middle of revisions.
*happy sigh*
Chase the Dream Finalist
What a way to brighten my crazy morning! I’m the last finalist in Rachelle Chase’s “Chase the Dream” contest!
I finaled with FACE THE MUSIC, my Contemporary YA Romance. This is a story that I wanted to tackle just for fun. The idea came to me and wouldn’t let go, and although I was convinced that I didn’t have a YA voice, I decided to give it a try one day when I desperately needed to de-stress. I loved the results! And thrilled that maybe I DO have what it takes to write YA after all! :-)
