What a way to brighten my crazy morning! I’m the last finalist in Rachelle Chase’s “Chase the Dream” contest!
I finaled with FACE THE MUSIC, my Contemporary YA Romance. This is a story that I wanted to tackle just for fun.
The idea came to me and wouldn’t let go, and although I was convinced that I didn’t have a YA voice, I decided to give it a try one day when I desperately needed to de-stress. I loved the results!
And thrilled that maybe I DO have what it takes to write YA after all! :-)
Well, I voted for your story and I was sorry and disappointed that you weren’t one of the top three. I’ve really been into YA lately and I was immediately hooked by your piece. So much so that I added you to my Google Reader just so I could keep tabs on that story I hope you finish one day.
Because I think you DO have what it takes to write YA.
